The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Capen or perhaps it was just good defense by Nagasaki which made him look bad.
Nagasaki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Capen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nagasaki as he avoids it easily.

Capen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nagasaki is rocked!
Nagasaki is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Nagasaki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Capen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Capen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Capen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Nagasaki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Capen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Capen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nagasaki defends it well.

Nagasaki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Capen manages to get himself to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Capen is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Nagasaki is in real trouble.
Capen is trying to stick to Nagasaki's back but Nagasaki is turning into Capen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Capen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nagasaki.

Nagasaki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nagasaki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Capen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nagasaki's waist but Nagasaki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Capen off to one side.
