Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barney Rubble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubble swinging wildly here.
Sanchez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rubble really is a fat lump.
Sanchez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Rubble pushes him off.

Sanchez moves into the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sanchez obliges.
Rubble is breathing heavily.
Rubble goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sanchez prevents it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Oooooh!!! Sanchez has knocked Rubble down with a huge combo! Sanchez steps away and waves a wobbly Rubble back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Barney Rubble has been cut.

Sanchez moves into the clinch.

Sanchez cracks Rubble with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sanchez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rubble to stand back up!

Sanchez rushes Rubble and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Rubble's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Sanchez has hold of one of Rubble's legs. Rubble is fighting the takedown attempt but Sanchez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sanchez told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Rubble is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Sanchez can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Sanchez!
