PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Parker Molina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Mafra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mafra's choice of entrance music: I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Molina looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Molina's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Mafra wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Molina manages to pass to side control.
Molina looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Molina lands with a punch from half guard.
Molina seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mafra pushes Molina off but Molina dives into side control.
Molina really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Molina lands a nice forearm strike.

Molina stands up and beckons Mafra to his feet.
Mafra moves to clinch but Molina breaks away

and Molina holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Mafra successfully pulls guard.
Molina engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Molina has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mafra wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Molina manages to pass to side control.

Mafra tries to kick Molina off in order to stand up. Molina Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Molina decides to stand back up.

Molina pulls guard effortlessly.

Mafra should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Mafra throws a strike but Molina rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Mafra is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Molina dives into side control.
Mafra seems a little lost for a moment, as Molina dominates the positioning.
Molina is working Mafra over with some ground and pound from side control.

Molina decides to stand back up.

Mafra looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Molina!

Molina manages to get back to half guard.
Molina is controlling Mafra's trapped leg to prevent Mafra from advancing to side control.
Molina makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Molina.
Molina manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mafra tries to buck Molina off so he can stand up but Molina has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Mafra falls backwards, slamming Molina to the mat but Molina holds on tight! Mafra is forced to tap and this one is all over!
