Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Rentz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rentz comes to the cage accompanied by Broken Dreams. Velasquez has chosen UFC - Face the Pain as his entrance music. Cain Velasquez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rentz has his takedown stuffed
and Velasquez counters with a one-two to the body.
Rentz wants to clinch but Velasquez slips to the side

and Velasquez counters by moving into the clinch.

Rentz pulls guard successfully.
Rentz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rentz is trying to hold Velasquez in close to prevent damage but Velasquez has managed to pass into half guard.

Velasquez is trying to work for a kimura but Rentz is defending well.
Rentz wants to get back to full guard.
Velasquez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Velasquez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rentz defends it well.

Velasquez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Oh Rentz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Velasquez is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Rentz is hurt! He's hurt bad - Velasquez fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Rentz from any more punishment! Congratulations to Velasquez! Great finish!
