Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Valanciunas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tompson's choice of entrance music: Agonoize, Koprolalie. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Tompson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tompson wants to clinch up but Valanciunas keeps it at a distance.
Valanciunas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tompsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tompson throws a sloppy head kick
and Valanciunas makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Tompson throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick misses from Tompson.
Valanciunas misses with a low kick.
Tompson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tompson darts in and clinches Valanciunas up against the ropes.
Valanciunas cracks Tompson with a nice body shot.
Tompson looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Nice body punch from Valanciunas - that landed with a thud.
Tompson looks winded!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valanciunas pushes Tompson back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Valanciunas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Tompson does no damage.
Tompson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Mike Tompson has been cut.

Valanciunas lands a big uppercut and Tompson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Tompson looks OK. Valanciunas waves Tompson back to his feet!

Tompson walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Valanciunas! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
