The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan slips a straight right by Sackett.
Sackett tries to bum rush Ryan with a series of wild strikes but Ryan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ryan misses with a double jab.
Ryan ducks straight into an uppercut from Sackett and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Ryan maanges to regain guard straight away.
It looks like Russ Ryan has been cut.
Ryan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sackett stands and steps away. Ryan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sackett cracks Ryan with a big right hand and Ryan goes down!
Ryan is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryan is trying to control the position but Sackett postures up.
Oh Ryan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sackett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sackett decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ryan, up you get!
Sackett lands with a right and another and another! Ryan is in big trouble! Sackett lands again and this time it's lights out for Ryan! A quality knockout there for Sackett.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tyrel Sackett!
