PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murray Moses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Harding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Murray Moses!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Harding!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harding shoots and misses

and Moses decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harding's guard.
Moses scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Moses stands up from Harding's guard - Moses perhaps looking for a knockout.
Moses shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harding sprawls well. Harding wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moses gets slowly back to his feet.
Harding stuffs the takedown.
Moses takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Murray Moses has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harding plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Moses shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Harding is trying to defend but Moses finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Harding really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moses. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harding has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moses is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harding is trying to stand up here but Moses is controlling him well.
Harding tries to get to full guard but Moses has control of the leg.

Moses gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Harding connects with a good right hand that stumbles Moses. Moses circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

A telegraphed right hand from Harding misses the target.

Harding rushes Moses and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Harding is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Moses is keeping busy.

Moses drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moses keeping moving, preventing Harding from controlling successfully.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moses has his foot on Harding's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harding works his way back into a safe position though.

Moses thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Harding wants to control from the top but Moses keeps moving.

Harding is fighting to break Moses's control of his arms but Moses is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Moses looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Moses has his hands on Harding's head, controlling the position.

Moses is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harding is aware though and is defending well.
Harding must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Moses working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harding doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harding manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Moses might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Harding stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moses swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Harding wants to pass the guard but Moses is keeping the position.

Harding avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Harding wants to control from the top but Moses keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Murray Moses will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Harding fails with a takedown attempt.
Moses defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Harding.

Moses is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Harding's half guard.
Moses winds up and cracks Harding with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Harding wants to control but Moses is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Harding is breathing heavily.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Moses here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Moses stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Harding to get to his feet.

Harding has Moses up against the cage in a clinch.

Moses has clasped his hands together around Harding's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Moses stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Harding fails to land with a series of punches.
Moses looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

No luck for Moses with that takedown attempt.

Moses moves into the clinch successfully.
Harding wants to take the fight to the mat but Moses manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Murray Moses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Harding.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Harding keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Moses's efforts to push away.
Moses wants to get back to striking at distance but Harding won't allow it.

Moses pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Harding has taken the fight to the clinch.

Harding has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Moses is trying to keep an underhook but Harding manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Moses regains full guard. Nicely done.
Moses is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Moses not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moses pulls Harding in close to his closed guard and prevents Harding from doing any damage or advancing position.

Moses has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harding can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moses escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harding gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Moses bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harding's guard.
Harding is looking to stand up but Moses isn't so interested in that idea.

Moses gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Harding closes the distance and clinches up with Moses, looking for a takedown. Harding pushes Moses against the cage but Moses circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Moses seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Harding is trying to control but Moses passes into side control!

Harding tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Moses tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Harding can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Moses is looking to escape.
Moses regains half guard.
Harding is just content to waste time from the top position. Moses takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Moses wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Harding looking to sit in guard and control but Moses gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Moses is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Harding is trying to control the position but Moses postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Murray Moses is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Moses stands up and waves to Harding to follow him.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moses, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
