Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kendrick Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anton Murray!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Darius Henderson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander fails with the takedown.
Murray looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Murray throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Alexander stuffs the takedown.
Murray tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Alexander is able to avoid easily.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murray as he jumps to the side.

Alexander shoots in and gets a takedown into Murray's guard.
Alexander trying to stand up but can't free himself from Murray's guard.
Murray keeping moving, preventing Alexander from controlling successfully.
Murray looking for a sweep. Not yet Murray, not yet.

Alexander tries to stand but Murray is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kendrick Alexander.
Alexander is trying hard to land a takedown here. Murray sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Alexander manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Murray on his heels. He'll look to pass Murray's guard now, I'm sure.

Kendrick Alexander has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Alexander fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murray, pushing him back against the cage.
Alexander jumps guard but Murray stands there with Alexander around his waist. Alexander gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Alexander is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Murray can't fight it off and eventually Alexander manages to take the fight to the floor. Murray looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Murray is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Alexander slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Alexander is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Murray controls Alexander momentarily but Alexander frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Murray avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Alexander.
Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Murray is trying to escape the position but Alexander is controlling the position.
Murray should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Alexander lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Murray managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Alexander.
Kendrick Alexander overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Alexander controls the position.
Alexander seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Murray for as long as he can get away with.

Alexander wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murray, who protects the arm well.
Murray is looking to regain half guard here but Alexander keeps moving and retains side control.

Alexander shoots for a double leg takedown but Murray sprawls well. He's pushed Alexander's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Murray, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Murray against the cage but Murray circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Murray stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Murray wants it to stay on the feet.
Alexander lands a nice hook to Murray's body. Murray takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Murray darts in looking for a takedown but Alexander gets double underhooks and turns Murray into the cage.

Alexander shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Murray napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Well Alexander has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
