Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Respect Fadda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Respect Fadda's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fadda fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Silva clinches with his opponent.
Fadda takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Respect Fadda has been cut.
Silva misses with a hook from the clinch.
Silva lands an elbow just above Fadda 's eye.
Silva lands with a short head shot on the inside.

That has opened up Respect Fadda's cut even more.
A head punch on the inside from Silva fails to land.
Fadda is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Silva lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fadda is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hilo Conditioning and Sparring in the buildup to the fight.
Jordan Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Respect Fadda.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Fadda. Fadda gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Fadda shoots in.
Horrible takedown by Fadda or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Fadda tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Fadda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Fadda keeps the fight on the outside.
Fadda should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fadda, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva is looking to clinch but Fadda is avoiding it.

Fadda tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fadda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fadda gets slowly back to his feet.

Fadda gets tackled into the cage by Silva. Silva maintains the clinch.

Silva lands an elbow inside that Fadda shrugs off.

The cut above Respect Fadda's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Silva with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Respect Fadda's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Silva wanted to stand there but Fadda had control of the position.
Fadda is trying to control the position but Silva postures up.

Fadda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fadda has a closed guard, preventing Silva from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jordan Silva has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Fadda shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Fadda tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Fadda ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
