Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaju Akita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuyoshi Kuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Kuraba!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akita throws the left hand but Kuraba avoids the punch easily.
Akita gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kuraba to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kuraba is stalling in the full guard.
Akita definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kuraba is looking to work some ground and pound but Akita has wrist control.
Kuraba pushes down on Akita 's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kuraba has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Akita defend it? Kuraba steps over the head and cranks it - Akita is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kuraba!
