The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinphet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pinphet steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Abelardo. That one must have hurt.
Abelardo throws a leg kick but Pinphet sees it coming and moves out of range.
Pinphet checks a low kick from Abelardo.
Abelardo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Abelardo misses the jab.
Abelardo avoids the head kick by Pinphet.
Pinphet throws a hook but Abelardo blocks it.
Some bone on bone action there as Pinphet checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Abelardo throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Pinphet connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Ramon Abelardo has been cut.
Abelardo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Pinphet avoids the head kick by Abelardo.
Abelardo avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Pinphet counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Abelardo looks to land a body kick but Pinphet moved away.
A head kick from Pinphet lands but Abelardo takes it in his stride.
Pinphet throws a shot from downtown. Abelardo moves away and avoids it.
Abelardo lands a big head kick that sends Pinphet tumbling to the mat! Abelardo takes a step backwards and waves Pinphet back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Pinphet is rocked!
It looks like Suriya Pinphet has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abelardo feints and then cracks Pinphet's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pinphet down.
Oh Pinphet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pinphet is breathing heavily.
Pinphet gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
