Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Yakasuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shujinko Kuei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yakasuki circles away quickly and effectively.

Yakasuki throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kuei tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yakasuki is in Kuei's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Yakasuki postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Kuei is working an open guard so Yakasuki takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuei swings wildly with an uppercut but Yakasuki uses good head movement to avoid it.

In his post fight interview, Gabriel Yakasuki started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
