Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Raines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theo Doors!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Topper Green and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raines keeps Doors at a distance using the push kick.
Raines shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Doors as he avoids it easily.
Doors takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Raines moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Doors goes down! Can Raines finish him!?


It looks like Theo Doors has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Raines decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Raines throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Raines throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Donk. Raines catches Doors right on the button with a cross.
Raines fails in his attempt to clinch.
Doors thows a body shot but no joy.
Raines tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Doors to counter with a crisp jab.

Liam Raines seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Raines misses
and Doors makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Raines fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Raines shoots in looking for a takedown but Doors manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Raines's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Raines throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fighters circle momentarily. Doors darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A combination from Raines does no damage.
Raines shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Doors pinned against the cage. Doors gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Raines. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Raines is stalling here.
Doors tries to pull guard but Raines forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Doors blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Doors has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Raines after a bit of a struggle.
Raines throws an elbow but it misses.
Doors on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Raines gets underhooks to prevent Doors's takedown attempt.

A frustrated look appears on Doors's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Raines definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Doors has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Raines avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Doors wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Raines goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Raines lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Raines gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Raines tries to work over Doors's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Raines on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Raines tries to land knees in the clinch but Doors avoids the damage to the body.

Raines struggles to land a body shot inside as Doors controls his hands.
Raines landing some nice looking knees to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Doors blocks an elbow strike.
Raines can't find room to land a body shot as Doors controls the action.
Raines's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Liam Raines dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Theo Doors's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Raines throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Raines tries to close the distance and clinch but Doors swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Raines is looking to clinch.
Doors slips a jab and a cross from Raines.

Raines connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Doors to the floor! Raines dives in looking for the finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doors is staying active underneath Raines, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Raines gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Liam Raines is winning the standup battle so far.
A head kick misses from Raines.
Doors is breathing heavily.
Raines tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Raines dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Doors. That did some damage!
