Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yosko Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Brakvich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brakvich has chosen Judas Priest - Hell Patrol as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura throws a low kick but Brakvich avoids it.
Brakvich moves out of range of the leg kick from Kimura.

and Brakvich makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kimura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brakvich keeps working.

Brakvich won't allow Kimura to pass to mount.
Brakvich wants to improve his position but Kimura is controlling well.
Kimura is stalling here. Brakvich is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kimura seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brakvich has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Brakvich seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kimura does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kimura is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brakvich's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brakvich's back!
Kimura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Brakvich covering up well under a series of strikes from Kimura.
Brakvich is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Kimura has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Kimura has Brakvich flattened out and is raining down punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kimura has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Brakvich is in real trouble here. Kimura gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Brakvich is tapping out! Kimura wins by rear naked choke!
