Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wiley Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marks is fending him off so far but Montoya persists. Nope, Marks circles away and we're back to standing.

Montoya jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marks walks away with a smile on his face. Montoya gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Marks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Montoya circles away quickly and effectively.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Marks wants to stand but Montoya has his arm trapped.

Marks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montoya is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Wiley Montoya will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Montoya fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marks sprawls well initially but Montoya persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Montoya is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Marks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Montoya.

Montoya would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Montoya drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Marks dives on top into guard.

Marks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Montoya pinned against the cage. Montoya gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Montoya tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Montoya. That did some damage!

Marks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Montoya swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
