Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pow Pow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DJ Maximus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Maximus throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Maximus gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Maximus doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Maximus lands with a light punch inside.

Maximus looks to throw an elbow but misses.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Maximus just misses with a elbow thrown towards Pow's brow.
Pow blocks the elbow strike.
Maximus goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Maximus has Pow pressed against the cage, preventing Pow from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maximus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pow scores with a jab to the body.
Maximus keeps the fight on the outside.
Pow swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pow tries to bum rush Maximus with a series of wild strikes but Maximus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Maximus tests Pow's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pow throws a head kick but Maximus moves out of range.
Pow tries to clinch but Maximus is having none of it.

Maximus misses with an uppercut. Pow saw that one coming.
Maximus throws a looping overhand right but Pow ducks down to avoid it.
Pow has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maximus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maximus throws a poor cross that misses
and Pow makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Pow avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Maximus works Pow's body with a nice hook.

It looks like DJ Maximus has been cut.
Pow scores with a kick to the midsection.
Maximus is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pow throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Pow dances in with a quick combination. Maximus is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Pow snaps Maximus's head back. Maximus stumbles backwards against the cage. Pow steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Maximus's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Maximus just didn't come prepared.

Pow Pow decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
