The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grayson misses with a takedown attempt
and Richardson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Grayson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Grayson shoots in and bounces Richardson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Richardson trying to keep a closed guard but Grayson is proving a slippery customer.
Grayson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Richardson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Richardson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grayson defends well.

Richardson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Grayson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Richardson's head.

It looks like Calvin Richardson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grayson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like Grayson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
