Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George Pierre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicklas Berg!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berg fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pierre to the ground. Berg is now in Pierre's guard.
Pierre looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Berg trying to control but Pierre is working from the bottom.
Berg slips nicely into half guard.
Pierre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Berg is taking a breather. Pierre says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Berg has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Berg is keen to just control but Pierre is a slippery customer.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nicklas Berg hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A nice leg kick lands there from Berg.
Pierre looks for a takedown but Berg sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Berg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Berg lands in his opponent's guard.
Berg wants to control from the top but Pierre keeps moving.
Berg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Berg tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pierre takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Berg in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Pierre looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Berg working the body and head with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berg has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pierre is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Berg yanks on the arm and Pierre is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Berg.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nicklas Berg!
