Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Rey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hetfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hetfield has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hetfield throws a lazy uppercut
and Rey counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like James Hetfield has been cut.

Rey closes the distance and pushes Hetfield back into the cage.
Hetfield wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rey has him pressed against the cage.
Hetfield stops a takedown attempt from Rey.
Hetfield tries to break the clinch but Rey is controlling the position.
Hetfield wants to break free but Rey has control.

Rey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rey manages to end up in side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hetfield can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hetfield told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
