PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hois Kreisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreisi comes to the cage accompanied by Ella ja Aleksi - Kakkaa lumella. Rivera has chosen Push it to the Limit - Rick Ross as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hois Kreisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Junior Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Kreisi.
Rivera ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

We've been informed that Rivera has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Kreisi is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Rivera still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Rivera has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That was a close round but I would say that Hois Kreisi will probably get the nod.

Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kreisi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kreisi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rivera on the side of the head.

Rivera connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kreisi's hands.
Kreisi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rivera fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kreisi manages to avoid it.

Hois Kreisi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Rivera.
