Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Booker Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Danski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Danski has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Booker Wright's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Booker Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Danski!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Danski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wright, pushing him back against the cage.
Danski fails to pull guard.
Danski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wright swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wright gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Danski.
Wright creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Danski gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Danski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wright's head.
Wright is trying to maintain the position but Danski is very close to passing his half guard.
Wright avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Danski.
Wright is looking to improve his position.

Danski gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Danski misses with a takedown attempt
and Wright finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Booker Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Danski.
Wright changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Danski tries to avoid it but Wright manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Danski to the ground. Danski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wright misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Danski shoots in for a double leg but Wright sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Danski rushes Wright and presses him up against the cage.
Wright wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Danski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wright smiles and moves away.

Wright wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Danski dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Wright scores with a shoulder strike.
Danski is looking for a takedown.
Come on Danski - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Wright is trying to break the clinch but Danski has him pressed against the cage.

Wright tries to break the clinch but Danski is controlling the position.

Wright manages to break the clinch.
Wright is trying hard to land a takedown here. Danski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Danski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Horrible takedown by Danski or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright which made him look bad.
Danski throws a sloppy head kick and Wright moves out of range easily.
Wright stuffs the takedown.
Wright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Danski looks winded!
Wright throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Danski's waist but Danski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wright off to one side.

Danski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wright avoids it really well and circles away.

Wright gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Danski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Danski postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wright pulls Danski in close to prevent any damage.
Wright will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Danski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wright misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Danski dives in for a single leg takedown but Wright sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Wright has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Danski drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wright gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wright is pushing Danski up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Wright breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Danski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wright defends well and Danski ends up having to push Wright into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Wright blocks the elbow strike.
Wright has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Wright tries a knee to the head but Danski blocks it.

Wright dives in and grabs Danski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Danski pushes down on Wright's head and hops out.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Danski.
Wright throws an elbow but it misses.

Danski clinches up with Wright and pushes him back against the cage.

Danski pulls Wright into guard.

Danski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wright doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wright manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danski is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Wright has gone for a leg lock! Danski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wright's guard.

Danski wants to take a breather but Wright is having none of it.
Wright wants to control but Danski is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Danski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Danski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Wright stuffs the takedown attempt from Danski. Danski gets slowly back to his feet.
Danski is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dan Danski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Danski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Danski wants it to stay on the feet.
Wright tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Danski defends well and Wright ends up having to push Danski into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Wright tries a body shot but Danski blocks it.

A frustrated look appears on Danski's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wright using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Danski has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Wright lands with a short shot to the head.
Danski misses with a knee to the head.
Danski stalls.

Wright breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Wright counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Dan Danski seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Wright can't break the clinch.
Wright tries to break free but Danski pushes him back against the cage.

Danski wants to take the fight to the mat but Wright manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Booker Wright.
I think Danski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
