PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ceasar Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Morgan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fat Lip. Jason Keller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ceasar Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Keller!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Keller gets caught flat footed, as Morgan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Morgan showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Keller can't keep his opponent in guard - Morgan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Keller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Morgan is working away from the top position though.
Morgan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Keller is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Morgan pulls his head out easily.

Morgan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Keller has managed to free his arm - good work.

Morgan avoids the attempt from Keller to control.
Morgan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Morgan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Keller can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Morgan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Keller is surviving well by controlling Morgan's body position as best he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Morgan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Keller to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Keller shrugs it off.

Morgan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Morgan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Keller sees it coming and defends easily.
Keller is looking to control Morgan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Keller avoid being mounted?

Morgan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Morgan pushes down on Keller's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Morgan in particular looking to stall.
Morgan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Keller tries to lock up and control but Morgan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The referee warns Keller that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Morgan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Keller is just holding on here. Morgan manages to take his back.

Keller is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Morgan off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Keller is trapped and Morgan is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Keller is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Morgan.
Ceasar Morgan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Morgan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Morgan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Keller.

Morgan just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Morgan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Keller can do to turn this around?
Morgan lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Morgan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Keller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morgan's waist but Morgan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Keller off to one side.

Keller shoots in but Morgan avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Keller counters by clinching up.
Keller is trying to stall.
Keller tries to land a knee to the head but Morgan blocks with his arms.

Keller breaks the clinch.
A head kick misses from Keller.
Morgan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Keller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Morgan clinches up with Keller and pushes him back against the cage.
Keller jumps guard but Morgan stands there with Keller around his waist. Keller gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Morgan blocks a body shot from Keller.
Morgan is trying to break the clinch but Keller has him pressed against the cage.

Morgan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Keller prevents it.

Morgan gets control of Keller's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morgan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Morgan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Keller is looking to stand up but Morgan won't let him.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Morgan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morgan jumps guard but Keller turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A short uppercut from Keller.

Keller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Keller or perhaps it was just good defense by Morgan which made him look bad.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Keller napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Keller is looking for a sweep.

Morgan is working to tighten his grip on Keller's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Keller has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Morgan is really squeezing tight and eventually Keller passes out! Morgan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
