Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Glen Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asashoryu scores with a hook to the body. Jacobs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Asashoryu connects with a nice looking jab.
Jacobs has a takedown stuffed.
No luck for Jacobs with that takedown attempt.
Jacobs dives in for a single leg takedown but Asashoryu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Yokozuna Asashoryu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Jacobs.
Jacobs tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Asashoryu wants to get back to striking at distance but Jacobs won't allow it.
Jacobs keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Asashoryu's efforts to push away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Asashoryu slaps away a takedown attempt from Jacobs, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Asashoryu as Jacobs shoots in.
Jacobs doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asashoryu counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Asashoryu looks at the referee who does nothing so Asashoryu lands a crushing right that sends Jacobs to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yokozuna Asashoryu!
A relieved looking Yokozuna Asashoryu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
