The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Terror keeps the fight on the outside.

The Terror scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Maeda sneaks back into half guard.

The Terror prevents Maeda from getting back to his feet.
Maeda avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Maeda tries to bum rush The Terror with a series of wild strikes but The Terror uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The Terror shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Maeda as he jumps to the side.

and The Terror counters with a single leg into guard. Maeda didn't expect that.

Maeda can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as The Terror controls the pace.
The Terror wants to control from the top but Maeda keeps moving.
Maeda is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The Terror trying to control the position from guard on top but Maeda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maeda is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and The Terror dives into side control.

Jake The Terror overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
A big shot lands for The Terror! That's hurt Maeda! Will he recover? The Terror fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
