Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergiy Sklyar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Roth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sklyar's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Scarface - No Tears. Roth has chosen Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sergiy Sklyar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Roth!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Roth does it's job there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Roth.

Sklyar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sklyar lands in his opponent's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sklyar throws an elbow that misses. Roth uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sklyar's guard. Nice move by Roth!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roth is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Roth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sklyar holds on and takes a little breather.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Roth lands with a right hand.
Roth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Sklyar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sergiy Sklyar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Roth.
Roth throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sklyar sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Roth tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sklyar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sklyar lands a few punches from side control.
Sklyar fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Roth looks to move to half guard but instead Sklyar has passed into mount! Damn!
Sklyar breaks from Roth's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergiy Sklyar dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
