Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Roosmalen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roosmalen moves out of range of the strikes.
Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Roosmalen doesn't seem bothered though.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Roosmalen saw that one coming.
Brian Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roosmalen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Roosmalen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Roosmalen.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Roosmalen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Well, if Jones is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Roosmalen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Roosmalen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jones scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jones misses with an uppercut. Roosmalen saw that one coming.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jones tries to bum rush Roosmalen with a series of wild strikes but Roosmalen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roosmalen is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Roosmalen circles away and we're back to standing.

and Roosmalen counters with a good low kick that Jones was not able to check.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Roosmalen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Roosmalen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roosmalen throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side.
Roosmalen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jones.

Roosmalen looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
