The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Karlsson shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Karlsson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Karlsson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Smith around the waist but Smith pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Smith is the winner by TKO! Smith jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Post fight, an emotional Peter Smith said 'I have trained and trained beyond what i though i could and tonight i see why i have pushed so hard... thank you'.
