Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Buster Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felipe Chavez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Chavez's head.
Chavez blocks a head kick by Cain.
Buster Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cain tries to bum rush Chavez with a series of wild strikes but Chavez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cain throws the kick towards the body but Chavez avoids it.

Cain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chavez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chavez wants to pass the guard but Cain is keeping the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chavez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cain!

That was a close round but I would say that Buster Cain will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Buster Cain.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Buster Cain.
