Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kun Jun Rhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kun Jun Rhee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia swings widly with a right hand
and Rhee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rhee looks to land a combination. Garcia sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Garcia throws an overhand right that lands on Rhee's shoulder, as Rhee tries to avoid the shot.
Garcia misses with a series of wild punches.
Rhee throws a sloppy body shot
letting Garcia counter with a right hand.


It looks like Kun Jun Rhee has been cut.
We've been told by Rhee's head coaches at Blackzilians Fighting Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Garcia loads up on a big right hand but Rhee slips the punch.
Rhee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Oliver Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rhee rushes Garcia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Garcia breaks the clinch.
Garcia avoids a punch combination nicely.
Garcia misses with a series of wild punches.
A bone on bone clash there as Rhee blocks the leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Garcia throws a series of punches but Rhee avoids them all with ease.
Rhee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Garcia pushes Rhee up against the cage in a clinch.

Garcia manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Garcia. Those never looked like landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch but Rhee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rhee feints and as Garcia raises his hands in defense, Rhee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rhee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garcia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rhee has managed to get both his arms back between Garcia's legs - danger averted.
Garcia wants to stand but Rhee is controlling the position.
Rhee trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Garcia wants to sweep here but Rhee controlling him for the moment.
Rhee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rhee passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Rhee tries for a kimura but Garcia is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rhee working away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rhee trying to control the action but Garcia is working from the bottom.
Rhee has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Garcia!
Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rhee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rhee scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Garcia is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Rhee working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Garcia turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Rhee off and cradles Garcia's limp body as Rhee celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Kun Jun Rhee!
Kun Jun Rhee decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
