Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Lizowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barrett has chosen Les Paul and Mary Ford ~ I'm A Fool To Care as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett walks into a stiff left hand from Lizowski.
Barrett misses with a few strikes there.
Lizowski thows a left - swing and a miss!

Lizowski scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Barrett explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Lizowski shoots in for a takedown but Barrett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Barrett misses with a two punch combination.
Barrett is looking to land body kicks.
Barrett lands a slapping body shot.
Barrett tries to clinch up but Lizowski circles away and keeps his distance.
Lizowski shoots in but Barrett avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Barrett misses with a jab, cross combination.

Barrett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barrett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barrett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lizowski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Barrett scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Barrett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Barrett throws the kick towards the body but Lizowski avoids it.
Lizowski will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lizowski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barrett tries to avoid it but Lizowski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barrett to the ground. Barrett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reggie Lizowski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barrett throws a half hearted mid kick.

Lizowski throws a right hand that Barrett ducks under and follows up with a left that Barrett also avoids with ease.
Lizowski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Barrett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lizowski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Barrett is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lizowski has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Lizowski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barrett keeps working.

Lizowski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barrett is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lizowski misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Barrett avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lizowski.
Barrett is trying to buck Lizowski off.
Barrett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lizowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lizowski scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Barrett to see if he's OK.

Barrett throws a right and a left that Lizowski avoids nicely.
Barrett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lizowski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barrett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

It looks like Scotty Barrett has been cut.

Barrett takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Barrett throws a sloppy head kick and Lizowski moves out of range easily.
Nice takedown defense from Barrett. No joy for Lizowski on that attempt.
Barrett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lizowski circles away quickly and effectively.

Lizowski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barrett manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lizowski wants to control from the top but Barrett keeps moving.

Lizowski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barrett wants to stand and escape but Lizowski is having none of it.

Lizowski is looking to pass into half guard but Barrett pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Barrett is in guard.

Lizowski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Barrett has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lizowski to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Barrett is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lizowski pulls down on the head and he's put Barrett to sleep! This one is all over!
