Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tracy Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahmed Assoumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahmed Assoumi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mahmed Assoumi!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Flores enables Assoumi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flores manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Assoumi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Assoumi is fighting to break Flores's control of his arms but Flores is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flores.
Flores changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Assoumi tries to avoid it but Flores manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Assoumi to the ground. Assoumi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flores makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Flores shoots in for a takedown but Assoumi shows good takedown defense.
Flores tries to close the distance and clinch up but Assoumi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Flores counters by moving into the clinch.
Flores jumps guard but Assoumi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Flores tries to throw a body punch but Assoumi avoids it by throwing Flores back against the cage.
Flores is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Assoumi to keep the fight standing.

Assoumi is looking to control Flores's arms but Flores gets an underhook and turns him. Now Assoumi has his back to the cage.
Flores tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Assoumi avoids it.
Flores with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Assoumi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Flores creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Flores goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Flores ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Flores no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Flores postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Assoumi looks a forlorn figure.

Tracy Flores overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Flores quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Flores but it's paid off an Assoumi is forced to tap! Nice work by Flores.
