Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanton Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvez Tewo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong doesn't manage to clinch there - Tewo circles away.

Wong takes the fight into the clinch.

Tewo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Stanton Wong has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tewo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Tewo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wong is able to avoid easily.

Wong manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tewo on his heels. He'll look to pass Tewo's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tewo is looking to stand up but Wong isn't so interested in that idea.
Wong is in close to Tewo's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Tewo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wong scores with a couple of nice shots.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tewo is covering up but some of the strikes from Wong are getting through and doing damage.

Wong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tewo's guard.

Tewo has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Tewo is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Wong scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Tewo is looking for a way out.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Wong has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tewo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Wong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tewo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wong is in Tewo's guard.
Tewo is looking to stand up but Wong isn't so interested in that idea.
