Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Ikari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klaus VonMueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Ikari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Klaus VonMueller!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VonMueller misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ikari fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
VonMueller misses with an uppercut. Ikari saw that one coming.

VonMueller connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Ikari to the floor! VonMueller dives in looking for the finish!


Ikari is rocked!


It looks like Shinji Ikari has been cut.

VonMueller decides to return to a standing position.
Oh Ikari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ikari uses good head movement to avoid the hook from VonMueller.
Ikari moves forwards but VonMueller connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
VonMueller throws a lazy right hand but Ikari sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ikari seems to have got his legs back now.

VonMueller wants to stand but Ikari has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

VonMueller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ikari takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Ikari uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from VonMueller.
Klaus VonMueller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

VonMueller has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ikari off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
VonMueller might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Ikari wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by VonMueller, who protects the arm well.
VonMueller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
VonMueller is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Ikari working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ikari really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
VonMueller is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ikari asserts his dominance and retains side control.

VonMueller throws a looping overhand right but Ikari ducks down to avoid it.

VonMueller tries to buck Ikari off but he can't manage it.

Klaus VonMueller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ikari feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ikari in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. VonMueller tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ikari!
