The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Olson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kerman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Olson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Olson feints and as Kerman raises his hands in defense, Olson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kerman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Olson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kerman misses with a takedown attempt

and Olson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Olson stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Olson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kerman's efforts to push away.
Olson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kerman walks away with a smile on his face. Olson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Olson drives through with a takedown into Kerman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kerman thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Olson dives in and scores a takedown into Kerman's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alec Olson.
Well Olson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
