The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malek swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Malek fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dammon manages to avoid it.
Dammon lands a lovely overhand right.
Malek swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice defenses there by Malek.
Dammon throws a jab when Malek was well out of range.
Dammon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Malek counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dammon's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Malek connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dammon scrambles back to his feet.
Dammon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dammon. Malek does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dammon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Malek's coach down at Outlaws Paradise was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Malek's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

I was talking to Dammon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Malek jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dammon walks away with a smile on his face. Malek gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dammon lands a right hook to the body.
Dammon paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Dammon cracks Malek with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Malek looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dammon finish him?
