Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vladimir Alexandrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stephen Mur!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mur will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mur shoots for a takedown but Alexandrov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alexandrov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mur circles away.
Mur fails with a takedown attempt.
Vladimir Alexandrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephen Mur.
A combination from Alexandrov does no damage.
Mur shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alexandrov as he jumps to the side.

Mur closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alexandrov to the mat! Alexandrov manages to get full guard.
Alexandrov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mur is controlling him.
Mur controls from within his opponent's guard.
Alexandrov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mur on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mur trying to control but Alexandrov is working from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stephen Mur wasn't active enough on the ground.

Mur gets a double leg takedown into Alexandrov's guard.
Alexandrov looking for a sweep. Not yet Alexandrov, not yet.
Mur slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Alexandrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mur is stalling in the full guard.
Mur wants to control from the top but Alexandrov keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stephen Mur.
Mur fails with the takedown.

Mur shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mur showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Let's hope that Mur has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alexandrov trying to strike off his back.

Alexandrov keeping moving, preventing Mur from controlling successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mur's corner is telling him to maintain position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Stephen Mur hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mur shoots in looking for a takedown but Alexandrov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mur's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mur looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Alexandrov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mur controls the pace.
Mur trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexandrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mur stands and throws Alexandrov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Mur wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alexandrov, who protects the arm well.
Mur trying to control the action but Alexandrov is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here as Mur stalls from top position.
You can see the frustration on Alexandrov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mur tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mur has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alexandrov tries to bench press Mur off him but Mur keeps the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Mur dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Alexandrov scores with a one two! Mur had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Alexandrov lands with a big left! Mur is wobbled badly! Alexandrov comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Mur to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vladimir Alexandrov!
