Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karol Mojkowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jackson Briggs!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Briggs looking to score a takedown here. Mojkowski is defending well but Briggs drives through and ends up in Mojkowski's guard.
Briggs's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Mojkowski has his feet on Briggs's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

and Briggs counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mojkowski won't be happy with that.

Briggs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mojkowski's guard.
Mojkowski is looking to stand up but Briggs isn't so interested in that idea.
Briggs tries to free his leg and advance position but Mojkowski is retaining full guard.
Briggs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mojkowski creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Briggs's defenses.
Briggs avoids the elbow strike from Mojkowski, against the cage.

Briggs has his foot on Mojkowski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mojkowski works his way back into a safe position though.

Briggs postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mojkowski is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Briggs, into his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Briggs is trying to keep Mojkowski in close.

Briggs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mojkowski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mojkowski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mojkowski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jackson Briggs hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
