The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Loco wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Loco breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Loco avoids the body shot from Liva.
Loco throws out a loose jab but Liva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Loco misses with a straight right.
Liva motions for Loco to come forward. Liva throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circling - Liva throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Liva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Loco loads up on a big right hand but Liva slips the punch.
Loco has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Liva finds it's way round the side to connect with Loco's head.

Liva closes the distance and pushes Loco back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that El Loco will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Liva gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Liva's coach down at Kebab House was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Liva's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Liva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Loco manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Liva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Loco.
Loco throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Liva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Loco makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Loco paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Liva looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Loco misses with an uppercut
and Liva counters with a right hand to the body.
Loco misses with a two punch combination.
Liva lunges at Loco with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Loco's hand.
Loco punishes Liva's body with a nice straight punch.
Liva connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
El Loco is winning the standup battle so far.

Liva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Loco thows a left - swing and a miss!

Loco's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Liva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Loco scrambles back to his feet.

Liva looks up at the clock. Bad move! Loco lands a right hand from hell, dropping Liva. Loco pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

El Loco took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
