PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ De Santis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock comes into the arena with Let's go blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that James Brock has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily James Brock seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, TJ De Santis!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Santis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brock is looking to improve his position but De Santis isn't that keen on the idea.

Despite being in the dominant position, TJ De Santis just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
De Santis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Brock drops his hands momentarily and De Santis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
De Santis scores with a one two! Brock had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
De Santis shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
De Santis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

De Santis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

De Santis stands up and beckons Brock to his feet.
De Santis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

De Santis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
De Santis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brock takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Brock tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Brock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Horrible takedown by De Santis or perhaps it was just good defense by Brock which made him look bad.
De Santis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brock as he jumps to the side.
Brock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
De Santis thows a body shot but no joy.
De Santis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Brock drives through and clinches with De Santis against the cage.
Brock has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. De Santis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Brock tries for a takedown but De Santis manages to get underhooks.
Brock keeps control of De Santis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
De Santis has had enough of the clinch but Brock keeps him there for the moment.
Brock is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
De Santis wants to get back to striking at distance but Brock won't allow it.

TJ De Santis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Brock tries to hold on but De Santis pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brock is working to get back to half guard.
De Santis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
De Santis blocks Brock's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brock wants to hold on but De Santis pushes him away.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
TJ De Santis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well De Santis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
