Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kullervo Koljatti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Rubey!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubey misses with a looping right.
Koljatti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Koljatti tries to clinch but Rubey moves out of range.
A lazy left from Rubey finds it's target.


It looks like Kullervo Koljatti has been cut.
Rubey lands a jab to the head.
Rubey keeps the fight on the outside.
Rubey throws the left hand but Koljatti avoids the punch easily.
Rubey moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rubey lands a body shot.
Koljatti has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Combat Zone [15 Elite & Sauna in the buildup to the fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Koljatti looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Koljatti throws a leg kick

and Rubey counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Koljatti!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Koljatti is trying to control Rubey's posture but Rubey avoids it.
Rubey misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Rubey is looking to take a break and control but Koljatti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rubey is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Rubey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rubey in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Koljatti looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Rubey turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
