Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Fields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Talebi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fields's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Free & Green. Chris Fields has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fields lands a head shot.
Fields lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Talebi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fields is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fields has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fields drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Talebi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fields has Talebi in his guard.

Fields gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Talebi connects with a nice short shot to Fields's temple.

Talebi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Fields tries to roll over but Talebi keeps him under control.
Talebi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fields with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fields has hold of Talebi's hands but Talebi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Talebi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fields does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Talebi is trying to control. Fields wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Talebi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Fields is in a horrible position here. Talebi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Chris Fields has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Talebi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fields is on top in guard.

Talebi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fields doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fields manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Talebi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fields swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Talebi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Talebi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fields swivels though and keeps the full guard.
