Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Boesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernesti Koppinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koppinen has chosen Kontra - Sankarit salapoliiseina as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ernesti Koppinen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonny Boesh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernesti Koppinen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boesh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Koppinens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Koppinen misses the jab.
Boesh misses with a wild combination.
Koppinen looks to land a combination but Boesh avoids it well.
Koppinen misses with a body kick.
Koppinen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boesh circles away quickly and effectively.
Boesh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Koppinen tries to clinch but Boesh moves out of range.
Boesh ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Boesh seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Koppinen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Boesh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Koppinen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Boesh to score with a decent uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koppinen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Boesh defends well and Koppinen ends up having to push Boesh into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Boesh can't break the clinch.
Boesh is trying to break the clinch but Koppinen is controlling him.

Koppinen manages to break the clinch.
Koppinen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Koppinen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Koppinen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boesh works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Koppinen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Koppinen trying to control but Boesh is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boesh has Koppinen pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ernesti Koppinen was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Nice sprawl there from Boesh as Koppinen shoots in.

Koppinen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boesh sprawls well initially but Koppinen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boesh is looking to escape.
Koppinen wants to control but Boesh is keeping him busy.
Koppinen trying to pass the guard but Boesh defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koppinen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boesh defends it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koppinen trying to control the action but Boesh is working from the bottom.
Koppinen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We've been informed that Koppinen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Boesh is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Koppinen scores with a couple of nice shots.

Koppinen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boesh wants to control but Koppinen is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boesh is looking for a sweep. Koppinen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ernesti Koppinen dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Koppinen manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Koppinen struggles to land a body shot inside as Boesh controls his hands.
Boesh wants to get back to striking at distance but Koppinen won't allow it.
Boesh is trying to break the clinch but Koppinen has him pressed against the cage.

Koppinen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Boesh regains guard.
Koppinen trying to control but Boesh is working from the bottom.
Boesh wants to stand and escape but Koppinen is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koppinen throwing strikes from guard but Boesh blocks nicely.

Koppinen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boesh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Koppinen has Boesh in his guard.
Koppinen is trying to control the position but Boesh postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koppinen controlling the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ernesti Koppinen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Koppinen misses with an uppercut.
Koppinen tries to land a body kick
and Boesh counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Koppinen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boesh paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boesh lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Koppinen throws a head kick that misses.
Boesh avoids a kick to the body.
Koppinen on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Boesh lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boesh lands a slapping body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koppinen shoots in for a double leg but Boesh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ernesti Koppinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koppinen throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Boesh counter with a right hand.
Boesh shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Koppinen eats them both and turns towards Boesh to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


Koppinen is rocked!
Jonny Boesh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boesh grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Koppinen takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Boesh cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jonny Boesh!

Ernesti Koppinen was interviewed post fight and said 'Ei nyt oikeen kulkenu, no no..'.
