Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, George Wilson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Devon King!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King swings and misses with a hook to the body.
King fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
King keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wilson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Devon King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wilson can't keep his opponent in guard - King advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Wilson wants to control but King is keeping busy and won't allow it.
King is keen to just control but Wilson is a slippery customer.
King thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wilson's head.
Wilson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

King lands a couple of good shots and Wilson has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King has the hooks in. Wilson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wilson is working hard here to advance position.

King is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
King doesn't have the hooks in and Wilson manages to turn into his guard.

Wilson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and King defends well.
Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wilson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
King with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Wilson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
King trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Wilson is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.
Wilson keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King is working Wilson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wilson has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.

Wilson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily.
King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
King wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.
King stands up over Wilson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

King is in close to Wilson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wilson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
King lands a couple of digs.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Wilson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Wilson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

King looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilson is just out of range.
King lands with a straight right. Wilson didn't see that one coming.

King takes a swing at Wilson's ribcage but misses.
King jabs Wilson right on the nose. Wilson blinks but takes it well.
Wilson ducks under a wild hook from King.
King fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wilson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wilson is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.
King postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
King scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Wilson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
King lands a couple of digs.
King stands up over Wilson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
King lands a couple of elbows.

Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This has been an exciting period of action!
King working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wilson's head.

King makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Wilson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. King doesn't defend quickly enough and Wilson has managed to lock this one up! Can King escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wilson on a fantastic submission victory.
