The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Laak - just one landing.
Laak throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hill on the side of the head.

It looks like Bobby Hill has been cut.
Laak throws a nice head kick!
Laak misses with a wild body shot.
Laak keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Laak moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Laak uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hill.

Laak cracks Hill with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Hill throws a hook to the side of Laak's head but Laak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Laak throws a body punch but Hill moves out of range.
Laak blocks a head kick by Hill.
Laak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hill's calf.
Bobby Hill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Laak thuds his right hand into Hill's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Laak is looking to clinch but Hill is avoiding it.
Laak jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Laak looks for the body kick but Hill saw that one coming.
Crunch! Laak slams his shin into Hill's torso.
Laak scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Laak is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hill had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Hill takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The fight stays on the outside here - Laak looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Laak throws a shot from downtown. Hill moves away and avoids it.

Hill moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Laak swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Hill ducks under a wild hook from Laak.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A head kick from Hill lands but Laak takes it in his stride.
