Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Willian Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Madison has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willian Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Madison!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madison circles away from the clinch attempt.

Madison fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Randolph to the ground. Madison is now in Randolph's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Madison stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Madison rushes Randolph and presses him up against the cage.

Madison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Randolph wants to clinch
and Madison counters with a head kick. That will keep Randolph thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Madison gets the takedown into side control.
Madison is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Madison lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Randolph down.

Madison stands up.

Madison shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Randolph manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Madison stays in close to Randolph's body and controls the position.
Madison wants to control from the top but Randolph keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Randolph moves out of range of the body kick from Madison.

Madison changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Randolph looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

You can see the frustration on Randolph's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Randolph is not content to let Madison control the position.
Randolph might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Madison decides to stand up, so the ref orders Randolph to his feet.

Madison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Randolph's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Madison stands up and waves to Randolph to follow him.

Madison manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Randolph on his heels. He'll look to pass Randolph's guard now, I'm sure.
Randolph doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Madison would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Randolph is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Madison looking to sit in guard and control but Randolph gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Madison is trying to keep Randolph in close.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Randolph lands a couple of elbows.

Randolph has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Madison uses from the top position.

Madison decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Randolph, up you get!

Randolph is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Randolph is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Randolph is squirming around, avoiding Madison's attempts to control the action.
Madison has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Randolph's face.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jim Madison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jim Madison wasn't active enough on the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Madison wants to stand but Randolph has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Madison not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Madison turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Madison manages to end up in side control.

Jim Madison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Madison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
