Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jo Jo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hachiro Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Set You Free. Matsui has chosen Solvent by Skinny Puppy as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hachiro Matsui was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Matsui counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jo!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jo tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Jo regains half guard.

Matsui is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Matsui is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Matsui is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jo is just riding it out for now. Matsui eventually gives up the hold.

Jo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Matsui won't allow Jo to sweep him here.

Jo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Matsui doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Matsui manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Matsui thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Matsui defends it easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Matsui drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matsui jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Matsui has his hands clasped together but Jo extends and breaks Matsui's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jo.
