Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leon DeLaurier!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daisuke Takemura!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takemura avoids the body shot from DeLaurier.
DeLaurier avoids the head kick by Takemura.

DeLaurier looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Takemura!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Takemura tries to buck DeLaurier off but DeLaurier is having none of it.

DeLaurier is looking to take a break and control but Takemura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

DeLaurier is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Takemura has escaped the position, nice work there.
Takemura takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Takemura tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but DeLaurier wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

DeLaurier is looking to take a break and control but Takemura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Takemura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeLaurier's head.

Takemura misses with a head shot. DeLaurier uses the momentum to regain guard.

DeLaurier seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Takemura postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Takemura throws an elbow that misses. DeLaurier uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Takemura's guard. Nice move by DeLaurier!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Takemura is looking for a triangle but DeLaurier pushes his legs off easily.
DeLaurier wants to control from the top but Takemura keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takemura throws a head kick but DeLaurier moves out of range.

DeLaurier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Takemura tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. DeLaurier is in Takemura's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Takemura is on top in guard.
DeLaurier looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
DeLaurier avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

DeLaurier wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Takemura throws a strike but DeLaurier rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

DeLaurier postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
DeLaurier working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Takemura's head.
DeLaurier is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Takemura throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells DeLaurier's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Takemura will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Takemura manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Takemura is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. DeLaurier can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
DeLaurier gets back to half guard.
DeLaurier is trying to control but can't.
DeLaurier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if DeLaurier tries to get out of the position.

Takemura thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
DeLaurier wants to control but Takemura is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Takemura passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for DeLaurier!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns DeLaurier that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Takemura connects with a bit shot that sees DeLaurier covering up! More strikes from Takemura and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Takemura is our winner by TKO!
