Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trent Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Siegel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Siegel!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siegel connects with a body shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Siegel blocks the leg kick.
Holmes fails with an attempt to clinch.

Holmes darts in and clinches Siegel up against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Siegel.

Holmes jumps into guard, dragging Siegel to the mat.
Siegel sitting in guard here, content to control.
Holmes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Siegel manages to get himself to full guard.
Siegel wants to sweep here but Holmes controlling him for the moment.
Holmes scoring with some ground and pound.
Siegel is looking to stand back up but Holmes counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Siegel.

Holmes tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Siegel is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Siegel manages to get back to half guard.
Holmes is thwarting Siegel's attempts to control the position.
Holmes wants to control but Siegel is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Siegel moves into full guard.
Holmes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Siegel is on top in guard.
Siegel trying to control but Holmes is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Holmes wants to stand up but Siegel is controlling him.
Holmes is breathing heavily.
Siegel controlling from the top position.

Holmes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Siegel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Holmes keeping moving, preventing Siegel from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holmes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Holmes striking off his back but it's not causing Siegel any problems.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Holmes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Siegel throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Siegel lands a high kick!

Siegel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Siegel is looking to take a break and control but Holmes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Siegel is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Holmes is trying to escape and Siegel transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Holmes is forced to tap! Nice work there by Siegel! Very nice indeed!
