The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dowling to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Miller thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Dowling wanted to stand there but Miller had control of the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dowling shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard.

Dowling changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
