Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Orion Contras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chapa Coco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contras works Coco's body with a nice hook.
Coco takes a jab right on the kisser.
Coco moves out of range of the leg kick from Contras.
Coco has his takedown stuffed
so Contras counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Contras thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Coco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Contras can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Contras seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Coco for as long as he can get away with.

Contras slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Coco darts in looking for a takedown but Contras gets double underhooks and turns Coco into the cage.
Coco wants to break the clinch but can't.

Contras's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Coco tries to score a body lock takedown but Contras shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Orion Contras has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chapa Coco.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Contras gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Coco has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
